15 Things Every Stylist Should Pack
Staring down the barrel of a 14 hour shoot? Don't leave home without these must-haves
I was organising my styling kit ahead of some shoots next week and I noticed it really does take a lot to have all bases covered. Many items of which I discovered along the way.
For any would-be or aspiring stylists out there, here’s a quick take away of my must haves :
Steamer - large and handheld.
Clothing racks. Sturdy and easily packed away.
Wooden hangers. (Always get more trouser hangers than you think you need.)
Iron.
Sowing kit - thread, needle etc.
Fabric scissors.
Pins - safety pins, clothing pins
Strong clips - all sizes.
Tape - double sided, sellotape, masking tape.
Bluetack.
Rubber bands.
Underwear - nude knickers, thongs, bras of all shapes, stockings and socks.
Hole puncher.
Garment bags.
And in my opinion, most importantly ….
SNACKS - chocolate, nuts, crackers, coconut water, fruit. Do not leave the house without it!
And of course the ability to always think on your feet, problem solve and come up with alternative options to any and all mishaps - because they will happen.
